Michael T. Moran is a partner at Sanchez Maselli Trial Attorneys. He counsels individuals, businesses, international corporations, public entities, and insurance carriers in transportation liability, employment practices liability, professional liability, premises liability, consumer fraud, breach of contract, and civil rights actions — in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitral forums.
Mike guides clients from pre-litigation counseling through trial and appeal: spearheading fact investigations through public-records requests, subpoenas, and witness interviews; taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses; driving dispositive and pre-trial motion practice; and negotiating resolutions through litigation or alternative dispute resolution with the goal of mitigating client risk and exposure.
Before entering private practice, Mike served as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Division of Law, defending the State, its agencies and employees, and county prosecutors’ offices in tort, employment, and civil rights actions — including matters of statewide importance, from a New Jersey Supreme Court order to show cause on the release of certain state prisoners during the COVID-19 pandemic to a constitutional challenge to New Jersey’s virtual jury selection process. He began his career as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Christopher R. Kazlau, J.S.C. (Bergen Vicinage), and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the Michigan State International Law Review, and his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
